News:	RESPECT has organised an International Conference on Emergency Operations Center (EOC) &amp; Disaster Response Operations to be held in Feb 2011 in India. The two days seminar was organized in knowledge collaboration with Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI), Illinois University, USA, addresses experts from research, government, and private industry. It consisted of high quality papers, and provided an inter&not;national forum for discussion of leading research and technological developments as well as applications in the field EOC design, operations and management. Seminar on EOC and Disaster Response Operation - was focused to the following three major areas - 1.The internal organizational structure, systems and operations of the EOC 2.The critical interfaces necessary between the EOC and subordinate regional (Taluka) emergency management 3.How the EOC and Taluka can help and quickly attain situation assessments and help create systems to strengthen initial LOCAL life saving. RESPECT has submitted conference recommendations to NDMA Government of India. For down loading a copy of recommendations kindly register.
